There are two common methods of cleaning your hammock:
1) Hand washing (preferred), or
2) Machine washing.
First, remove all carabiners and other hardware from the hammock prior to washing.
1) Hand washing: Add a mild detergent (Woolite, etc...) to a bucket of warm water. Use a soft-bristle brush to gently scrub any dirty areas of the hammock, then rinse well with cool, clean water.
2) Machine washing: Using only a front-load washing machine (NO agitator), add a mild detergent (Woolite, etc...) to a delicate or gentle, warm water cycle. Spin on low.
Regardless of the washing method used, just hang the hammock and let it air dry. Do NOT put the hammock in a dryer. Do NOT put your hammock away damp or wet - it could lead to mold, mildew, or possible color-bleeding.
ALWAYS REMEMBER:
- Do NOT use bleach.
- Do NOT use fabric softeners.
